Welcome to the research section of the website of the Department of Business Economics of the UIB. In this section you can find information about research activities of the different areas in which our department is divided: Marketing and Market Research, Accounting, Financial Economics and Business Organisation.

Currently, our department has four research groups consisting of teachers of the UIB and partners of other research national and international centers. Each group has a different area of specialization: Accounting and Environmental and Social Management, Business Management and Tourist Destinations, Organisations' Economics and Financial Economics. Some of these groups have research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Our department takes a considerable effort to support research activities of our faculty, providing the means to meet the needs of different research projects, a pleasant working environment, and all the facilities for the development of research stays at centers with a recognized prestige. Our mission is to promote quality research, with significant contributions to the different areas of specialization, which could be published in journals with high impact factor. Our latest research is available in our collection of working papers. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Since 1997, the Department of Business Economics of the UIB organizes Research Seminars which promote the interaction with researchers from other institutions, the exchange of ideas, and continuous updating of knowledge through the exposure of recent advances in different areas of Business Economics.
